Frequently Asked Questions

Your first appointment is a chance for me to get to know you, your nutrition needs, and what life around food currently looks like. We’ll talk through your health and nutrition history, current eating patterns, symptoms, routines, challenges, and what you’re hoping to get out of nutrition counseling. From there, we’ll start identifying realistic goals and next steps together. You don’t need to prepare anything perfectly or have all the answers before we meet.

Yes! Nutrition care often works best when your providers are able to collaborate, especially when you’re navigating an eating disorder or complex chronic illness. With your permission, I can communicate with your therapist, physician, psychiatrist, or other members of your healthcare team so that everyone is working toward the same goals.
-
Yes! I am in network with select insurance plans. Coverage for nutrition counseling varies depending on your individual plan and the reason for nutrition care, so I always recommend confirming your nutrition benefits with your insurance provider.
If I am out of network with your insurance, I can also provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement is determined by your individual insurance plan and is not guaranteed.
Private-pay rates are:
Initial appointment: $135
60-minute follow-up: $112
45-minute follow-up: $90
If you’re unsure which option applies to you, feel free to reach out and we can discuss your options before scheduling.
