Meet Phoebe
Welcome to the internet home of my private practice.
My Background
My love of science, food, and people eventually led me to pursue nutrition at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where I completed both my undergraduate and graduate education.
As I moved through my training, I became fascinated by the way our bodies use food to support everything we do. At the same time, I began to see another side of nutrition: an oversaturated wellness space, conflicting information, and diet culture can turn something as fundamental as eating into a source of fear, stress, guilt, and confusion.
That realization shaped the kind of dietitian I wanted to become.
My experience as a registered dietitian includes residential eating disorder treatment, acute care, and outpatient nutrition care for chronic health conditions. Through Waller Nutrition, my goal is to help clients de-shame, de-blame, and reframe their understanding of food, nourishment, and themselves.
I want nutrition to feel less like a set of rules you have to follow perfectly and more like something that can realistically support your health and your life.
My Approach
I believe that you are the expert in your own experience. My role is to bring nutrition expertise to the table while taking the time to understand what it is actually like to live in your body, with your circumstances, priorities, challenges, and goals.
Our work is collaborative. Rather than relying on one-size-fits-all recommendations, we’ll think outside the box and find strategies that make evidence-based nutrition guidance feasible in your everyday life.
Above all, I want my clients to feel heard and understood as people—not reduced to a diagnosis, symptom, number, or behavior.
I also believe healing rarely happens in isolation. When appropriate, I value collaborating with the other members of your care team and becoming a meaningful part of the community supporting you.
Outside of Work
When I’m not talking about food and nutrition, you can usually find me cheering on Tennessee sports (Go Vols!), hiking, reading, or wandering the aisles of TJ Maxx.
